By joining Season Co-op, you have Kingdom accountability owning a share of the Co-op so each Member affirms and commits to live out these core Scriptural truths in all they do:
MATTHEW 22:37–39: “Jesus replied: ‘ “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbour as yourself.”
1 CORINTHIANS 10:31: “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
1 CORINTHIANS 9:23: “I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.”
Character and Calling
Every Member must exemplify the elder-qualifications Paul gives us in Titus 1 and 1 Timothy 3, living out:
BLAMELESS REPUTATION: No public scandal or unresolved conflicts.
SOBER-MINDEDNESS: Self-controlled, clear-headed.
RESPECTABLE DEMEANOUR: Honourable conduct that wins trust.
HOSPITALITY: Willingness to open home and heart without seeking personal gain.
ABLE TO TEACH & ENCOURAGE: Share wisdom and model godly living.
NOT A LOVER OF MONEY: Steward resources sacrificially, avoiding greed.
GENTLENESS AND PEACE: Avoid quarrels and divisive arguments; correct gently when needed.
FAMILY STEWARDSHIP: Manages personal and family life in a way that reflects godly leadership.
Engagement and Conduct
Model Christ-like integrity and respect in every relationship, with employees, customers, partners or the wider community. Specifically, Members agree to:
SERVANT LEADERSHIP: Treat employees and team members with dignity and care, “serving one another in love” (Gal 5:13) and empowering them to flourish.
HONEST COMMUNICATION: Uphold transparency and truthfulness with love in all customer interactions, “speaking the truth in love” (Eph 4:15) and avoiding deceptive practices.
FAIR TREATMENT: Apply consistent, fair policies and pricing for customers, reflecting Colossians 4:1 (“Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair”).
RESPECT FOR PARTNERS: Honour contracts and commitments with vendors and partners, maintaining a reputation for faithfulness.
COMMUNITY STEWARDSHIP: Listen to and address community feedback promptly, recognizing that “as each has received a gift, use it to serve one another” (1 Pet 4:10).
CONFLICT RESOLUTION: Handle disagreements swiftly and graciously, seeking reconciliation first (Matt 18:15) and avoiding public disputes that harm our witness.
INCLUSIVE COLLABORATION: Engage all stakeholders regardless of background in our mission, reflecting the Gospel call to welcome “strangers” and “nations” (Rom 15:7).
Governance and Participation
ATTEND AND ENGAGE: Participate in General Assemblies, committee meetings and, when eligible, Member votes.
Serve on at least one working group or taskforce each year.
MISSION ALIGNMENT: Uphold and protect the Mission Integrity Clause (75% super-majority to amend).
Champion cooperative values in your sphere of influence.
REFERRAL & VETTING: New Members must be first-degree referred by an existing Member or complete a qualifying community-development engagement.
Accept a 6-month probation before full Class B share vesting.
Ethical Stewardship
SHARE INVESTMENT: Maintain required share ownership (1 Class A + minimum Class B as per membership tier).
SACRIFICIAL GIVING: Beyond share purchases, consider regular tithes/offering to your church and community.
INTEGRITY IN TRANSACTIONS: No insider trading, conflicts of interest or misuse of Co-op resources.
Growth and Learning
ONGOING TRAINING: Complete annual modules on faith-driven business, governance best practices and operational systems.
MENTORSHIP: Pair with a seasoned Member or Director for mutual encouragement and accountability.
